The Ingornace Men Would Say

From: http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/weblogs/in-the-know/2011/dec/04/the-ingornace-men-would-say/

There used to be a quote that states “evil springs when good men do nothing”. I am not sure whether that are the exact words, but it still presents a clear and utter danger to democracy and the well-being of man. Evil, from what I see before me, starts from ignorance. Down right, repulsing stupidity that causes drops in one’s intelligence and erodes civility. This is not about ideology, religion, wonder what type of Christian is there to call one of the best spokesmen of Christianity (MLK), a Marxist. In the Bible, Moses’s sister was cursed by the Almighty for criticizing Moses’s marriage to an Black African, but yet that same individual who beat the Bible verses on folks’ head stated that Interracial marriages should discouraged. Maybe, just maybe, the person should read Numbers 12:1-15 before spewing racial talk.

That word Racism brings me to another topic starring those Neo-Confederates refighting the Civil War. I am sorry that you are born one hundred sixty plus years too late. Heck I even wish you were there instead of defiling history today. Saying that the Confederacy isn’t a product of slavery and extreme white domination is a lie. This isn’t about the flag anymore; this is about trying to whitewash history to benefit your cause. Every proof stems from official speeches, major documents, and state and national CSA constitutions proclaim defense of black slavery and fear of racial mixing. They also use the war to blame the break-up of the union on anti-slavery movements and free blacks. Talk about double standards, it is sickening to have people who show up at church on Sunday morning to treat others like a piece of turd on Monday. I am not surprise by the comments above. Some say there that the majority is above the age 40, others say the site is not diverse. But whatever is the case presents a sad and SHAMEFUL reality, when men, grown men, act like Chicken Little instead of men of character, honestly, and WISDOM!!!!!!

I shall not apologize for any statement I made tonight. Enough is enough with the foolishness.

New Economics

It seems the economic forecast for the nation is dire. Consumer confidence is down, unemployment is up, and faith of the system is lukewarm. The Great Recession they called it, but it seems to be the “Great Depression of the American Soul“. For the past fifty or sixty years, we allow ourselves in following a dark and disturbing command. In 1835, the National Debt was paid in full with Andrew Jackson as President. It help expand the nation. Today, the National Debt enslaves us to chains of Chinese and Saudi interest. Before 1971, money was backed by gold, now it is backed foreign good sold in America. Being dumb by shining things, bright lights, and pretty faces, we forget values, common sense, and honestly.

Liberals, Unions and Social Democrats believe in government takeovers, bailouts, card check, tax increases. All of these are not the answer. Peacetime bailouts and takeovers encourage unneeded risks from businesses while discourages unemployment. Unions, especially those in the automotive industry, have done a great disservice to average American consumer by unjustly increasing the cost of the product while decreasing the supply of that product.

Conservatives believe in the “voodoo” supply side economics of Ronald Reagan, Calvin Coolidge, Warren Harding and Wm. McKinley with Wall Street, not Main Street, calling the shots. Under the supply side, it (willing or not) encourages greed and excess to a point; where only the few have the control of the economy. It centralize the flow of money, harming local ma & pa stores, farms, and banks.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy had listen to some of his conservative advisors like Treasury Secretary C. Douglas Dillon and cut taxes to grow the economy, while taking liberal advice in intervene in the U.S. Steel strike. We, as a society, allow the extremes to govern the economy with NAFTA, WTO, Unions, and Wall street as being the four horsemen of economic disaster. Conservatives allow NAFTA to destroy American worker , while liberals under union influence destroys American Jobs.

What is need is balance and not extremes, Thomas Fuller is right. “Moderation is the siken string running though the pearl chain of all virtues”.

1) Use “Petro dollars” to curl and to pay down the National Debt. Uncap the oil reserves in Montana and the Dakotas.

2) Open trade with Cuba.

3) De-globalize the economy by ending NAFTA, CAFTA, and remove membership from the WTO.

4) Audit, Amend, or end the Federal Reserve.

5) Amend the Tax code and adopt some tax idea from the Paul C Fisher Tax System.

6) Place tariffs on unfavorable nations.

7) A bailout for every American on debt.

8) For ten years, prohibit Unions and Corporations contributions in Federal election campaigns.

9) For ten years. Prohibit lobbying in Congress.

10) A Constitutional Amendment for a Presidential Line Item Veto, and/or peacetime quadrennial Balance Budget.

An Alternative Middle East policy.

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
-Psalm 34:14

I am sorry Mr. President. I beg to differ on your Middle Eastern policy. However I do like a new idea from the President instead of rehashing of the same ole same ole 60 plus year playbook. I am not a fan of either nation (including Israel) in that region. Giving Jerusalem to the Arab nation of Palestine presents a clear danger to the Western world and the United States. The world does not need another “empire” that threatens the world. Our nation have lost too much blood in fighting Southern slavery mills, the Third Reich, Distant Asian Militarist Kingdoms, Marxism, and Islamic Fascism.

To conservatives who blasted President Obama for “throwing” Israel under the bus. The blame should also be placed on the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netyauhyau for being a warmonger during his first term as Prime Minster. I trust the leader of Israel the same way, I trust the leaders of Arab Nations. Neither of them are any good for peace for the world. I would also like to remind conservatives, libertarians, and the pro-Israeli lobby, that AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY should be independent of any nation. I would also like to remind conservatives that Palestine should no longer be treated like the Native Americans, the Black Africans in South Africa, African- Americans, minorities, and even Jews in the Europe. A message of Martin Luther King and that of Psalm 34:14 must be norm in Foreign Policy in this area of the world.

Instead of doing the same ole same ole 60 year game. New solutions need to be out front and center and not be bothered by the Glenn Beck’s or the Rev John Hagee’s of the world. We need….NO WE MUST…explore ALL OPTIONS. One State, Two State, Three state, and even International state proposals must be on the table. This is why I respect Israeli-American Avisar Yossi and his One State “Confederation” Plan. Even the international city plan from Former New York Mayor Ed Koch should be looked at as well.

Here is my solution to the Israeli-Arab problem.

Article 1: All nations within the Middle East must recognized the state and the people of Israel.

Article 2: All minority rights in Israel and Palestine shall be respect though civil, political, and social reforms.

Article 3: An international commission of 28 nations shall be created to protect the peace in Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon.
A) Each nation shall be appointed by Security Council of the United Nations.
B) The commission of 28 shall consists of fourteen (14) western democracies and fourteen (14) Islamic nations.
C) This commission shall run its course for 50 years.
D) The Swiss Guard shall assist in policing the two nations.

Article 4: All signers shall agree to a non aggressive policy toward one other.

Article 5: All Religious buildings, sites, speech and freedom shall be respect by all parties.

Article 6: The sovereignty of Lebanon shall be respected by all parties.

Article 7: All parties must created legal and fair trade with Israel, Lebanon, and Palestine.

Article 8: The commission nations shall seek and dismantled terrorist organizations under the constitutional laws of each individual nation.

Article 9: All nations in the Middle East Region agree on reducing the sell, purchasing, and lending of weapons and arms.

Article 10: The parties shall impose an ban on nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons in the region.

Article 11: All parties shall have the right of self defense.

Article 12: The commission shall enforce all regulations lawfully.

Article 13: This treaty as well as the commission shall expire in fifty (50) years.

Article 14: The State of Israel & the Kingdom of Jordan shall each have a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.

Here are other options.

30th Texas House Redistricting.

Late last week, a "friend" among others emailed me about the proposed shifts in the districts for the next election. He told me to look at 30th Texas House district. Much to my "amazement" (roll eyes), three counties is suddenly dumped into three house district respectively. One county, Dewitt, is dumped into a district that is east of Austin, while Lavaca is dumped with Washington County, Austin County, and others west of Houston. I saw the fishiness, if that is a word, from the very get go. When one looks at the census data, the makeup, and/or the voting history, one can be certain the proposal might violate the Voting rights act of 1965 and various anti-gerrymandering laws.

Each district is based on population accordingly to U.S. Census. The County of Lavaca have a drop in population due to lack of "jobs" and the very aging citizenry. The county of Dewitt have witness, if I am not mistaken, the a slight increase of minorities. Although those are not a factor because those counties historically vote Conservative or Republican, so the question remains why the shift? The stories within the past few years in the crossroads area may be the clues behind such a shift.

One could look at the drop out rate at VISD, whenever VISD pass gas the area schools smells it. Much like how the whole Stroman/Victoria High/Memorial High matter resulted in sending students to Cuero, Edna, Hallettsville, and Yoakum. The other problem, Education connected, is the Crossroads Commission on Education. The Crossroads means Victoria and its surrounding counties. It is a slap in the face of those in Lavaca, Dewitt Jackson, and Refugio counties. The third item which is education connected. Since the passage of HB3015 in March 2003, people under 30 have a harder time to obtain the means of living in Victoria or to leave Victoria all together. Which leads to a fourth point is the decreasing economic opportunities for those under 30, when they have no education to back them up, especially when there are higher taxes and mall stores closures. How could anyone want to build a new university when those student can not afford the tuition or can not get a decent job to pay the tuition.

The Second issue is the local controversies. We in this current district have a District Attorney who hires a sex offender, a former sheriff (Ratcliff), another area District Attorney ( Bobby Bell) who made questionable civil rights issues, and a Mayor (Armstrong) who was arrested. When are the people are going stop being attention at the "R" next to their name, the bumper sticker talk, or the laughable claim of being “conservative” and look at how they treated all of their citizens.

All of these problems could spell trouble for one who holds the highest political seat in the area. Two counties of the North had produce opposition to this officeholder during the 2004 election in form of Write-in candidate David L Meyers. This incumbent also seats on the Redistricting board in the Texas House of Representatives. This is what we get when an uneducated house wife have the keys of education and economic power.

The problem is where. Where is that local newspaper? When will that paper stop being the VECD Advocate and be the VICTORIA ADVOCATE ?!?! When will that paper address and question those in power why Lavaca, Jackson, and Dewitt is being jettison? Will the paper ask why these counties being jettison ? And is it for reason to hold one’s political seat? It is time for you Victoria Advocate to stand up against GERRYMANDERING !!!!

A Rebuke of the Geanie Morrison Abortion Bill!!!!

I’ve made a similar blog two or three years ago over this topic. How can we, as a society, overcome this issue, we may never know. It may not resolve itself peaceful thus setting a a stage for another Civil Conflict. The reason why this issue of abortion will not end peaceful because of the political masters, their puppets, and the loony bin wack jobs that are playing the field. The story about the Morrison-Patrick bill is proof that SOCIAL CONSERVATISM doesn’t work!!!!!!! I find it very interesting that some who commented on this story ( http://www.victoriaadvocate.com/news/2010/dec/30/jp_legislation_123110_122231/#c132738 ) refuse to think outside the box while displaying an attitude that actually start abortions. Let me make myself clear, I am “Pro-life”, but not Pro-life. Before someone claimed I made a typo or a spelling error. Do not be fool. I distanced myself from the Pro-life movement for many reasons. I used to be Pro-Choice, I am no longer based on many reason as well. This issue is TOO COMPLEX to just black or white and left or right. The question that should be asked is whether government have role in this? The intent of the bill is to save, not a child, but the political career and legacy of one, Geanie Morrison. Anyone who have a pulse and a brainstem could see hypocrisy in the actions of a housewife-turned-state rep and a hate talk radio hosted turned state senator. A few months ago, Senator Dan Patrick was whooping and hollering on WOAI’s Joe Pags about “Obamacare’s” incursion in America. At the Tea Party rally in Victoria, Texas, the State Rep Morrison voiced about freedom and the opposition to the Health Care Bill.

If it is wrong for liberal Democratic Washington to force citizens to pay for Health Insurance, then shouldn’t it be wrong for Conservative Republican Austin to force women to have ultrasounds? If socialism is wrong then should FEUDALISM should be as well. One CAN NOT have his cake and eat it too. If Mrs. Morrison was so concern about the plight of the unborn, then she should look to her own failed polices. The education system in her home county is proof of this. A student, who gains a High School Diploma or higher are least likely to have unwanted children. Consider this how many within the Victoria I.S.D dropout in the past two years? Six out of Ten students. She should also make adoptions easier. Extend adoptions to homosexual couples and/or have 75% tax break for those who adopt. Maybe she should also crack down on deadbeat fathers, especially those who impregnate one woman after another after another. The reason behind the drop in abortions wasn’t Mrs. Morrison, Social Conservatism, or the so-called Christian Coalition. It was EDUCATION, AWARENESS, RESPONSIBILITY, FAITH, and COMPASSION.

Going back earlier, I said that I am “Pro-life” but not Pro-life. I am not Pro-Choice because abortion is not acceptable way to end a problem. I am strongly against partial birth abortion. I also see liberalism as SELF DEFEATING CONCEPT. Liberalism had help minorities in the quest of obtaining civil rights and liberties. However the agents of Liberalism supports having many abortions clinics in or near Black and Hispanic population centers. Some could say the African-American population would be over 25% without Roe v. Wade, which in my opinion the feminist’s war against child birth. I am not Pro-Life because I support stem cell research and I want women to have the option in case of rape, incest, endangerment, and a pregnancy of the young. I also resent the harmful attitudes from social conservatives and the Christian Right. Plus the nut jobs who display pictures of dead children outside of schools.

Although I am not a woman, I do understand that the decision isn’t an easy one. If we use education instead of devalue it; Awareness instead of ignorance; and responsibility instead of accusing “ it’s the woman’s fault”. With Faith and compassion, we can overcome.
